We still have her earning her keep around here. She usually likes to use the big broom, but today, she settled for the smaller one. Next week we are going to try the blower.Happy leap year day, not really a holiday, but something different. Leap Year day has traditionally been a day whena woman could propose to a man and if he turned her down he had to give her money or buy her something. Who knows if this is true.
So, in honor of proposals here is a bit about our proposal.
March 6th, 2001
When he proposed he gave me a beautiful eternity band. I absolutely loved it. Not a solitaire to lose or to scratch someone eyes out with (I'm a little aggressive). Then he told me it was fake, he bought it at Longs ten minutes before he came to pick me up. Cheapskate, actually I didn't really care, he was a poor student and I just wanted to marry him.
Later in the day he asked if he could see my ring. When he handed it back, it was much heavier. It had transformed into another ring, an even better ring. My real engagement ring had just been brought by the mail man! It was the perfect ring for me; simple but elegant (and a whole lot more expensive looking). I still love my ring, especially when my fingers aren't too fat to wear it.
