This past weekend Irene and I went to NY for a reunion with my BYU roommates. Actually Irene wasn't even invited, she just showed up and because she showed up, one of my roommates decided not to come. Stupid Irene. She should have just stayed home. But, I did get to see these two fabulous ladies. We haven't seen each other in 11 years. So much has happened, but it seems like we were just back at BYU only a few years ago. Since Irene showed up too, many of our plans were changed, but I did get to eat these yummy cupcakes (if you ever go to Magnolia Bakery get the Banana pudding, YUMMMMMY)
and I ate these delicious little bites...at 9:30 in the morning (and then I went back later with my friends and ate some more)
and I saw some fabulous people on the subway. Check out those lashes. Do you think they're real?
and I tried on some amazing "designer" shoes. I decided if they were under $25 I would buy them. They were only $135. I was actually surprised at how comfortable they were.
and I saw some sights. (I do know those people)
and I went to Central Park
and I went to the Temple
and I was thrilled that Irene only did a little bit of damage, a whole lot less than was expected.
I even had time to spend 2 days in New Jersey. We decided to evacuate NY and go stay with one of their friends in Summit, NJ. So, in those 6 days, I didn't do a whole lot of things that were originally planned, but I did get to spend a lot of time with my roommate...and that's the whole reason I went in the first place.
