We had rain, lots of rain and this little one loved playing outside in it.

new shoes

I am dancing again...ballet. I've never liked ballet. Maybe if I were 5'10" and 105 lbs I would have liked it, but those pink tights and black leotards don't really make me look svelte. BUT, I've missed dancing too much and since ballet (or belly dancing) was my only option, I pulled out my old ballet shoes and took a class. I LOVE IT! I get to wear sweat pants and a t-shirt (because I'm an adult the kids have to wear proper ballet attire), the other girls in the class are 8-13 years old, and sometimes I feel like a dancing hippopotamus, but I am dancing and it makes me so happy. Since my toes were poking out of my old ballet shoes I bought new pretty pink ballet shoes and bought Sweetpea her first pair of ballet shoes. She was in HEAVEN and danced around the house all day.

It's my goal to get a family picture on every "Holiday." It's kind of a painful, but I'm glad we make the effort.

This little swimsuit just kills me. So cute! I'd kind of like one of my own, but I don't think I would look nearly as cute.

flower holder project

I've seen several flower organizer projects on the web. I tried doing the organizer with the quilting batting in the frame and it didn't work very well (for me). Since I've had so much luck with canvas lately I thought I would try it. SOOOOO much better. It's easy to work with, fast, and it's perfect. On my first attempt I had too much unused space with 4 vertical ribbons so I took them off and did 6 vertical ribbons. I love it. It's hanging on the back of their bathroom door with a 3M hook. Now I can quickly select the flower I want and easily put away the flowers after the girls have worn them (Gumdrop for 10 seconds). If you need a way to organize hair clips...I recommend this! Now I need an idea for headbands.

These girls LOVE to dance. We turn on music and they will dance and dance and dance. This little exhibitionist figured out how to take her diaper off. Hum, now to try to keep little diaper covers on her while she's in the house.
