She loves my Matryoshka dolls. She tries to climb up the bookcase to get them. She knows that the blue doll has more pieces than the black doll so it's her favorite. So far, she's be "soft" with them. For her...that's amazing.

makeover

My hubby bought our dining room table and chairs almost 13 years ago. Since then we've recovered the chairs 2 times. The first time was because the material was UGLY! The material we used worked great, for a while, then once we started having kids those chairs got nastier and nastier. I used to look at my friend's nasty chairs and wondered why she didn't just recover them. Then I realized my chairs were just as bad as hers, if not worse. Sinner. It was definitely time for a change. I found some outdoor fabric that I LOVE and my hubby got new, thicker wood for the seats (the old wood was so flimsy we didn't dare stand on the chair). He fixed the rails, re-glued, re-screwed and repainted the chairs. Then we covered them. They look soooooooooooooo fantastic. When we were using my in-laws table and chairs for 18 months I covered one of the seats with clear plastic from a shower curtain and that became Sweetpea's chair. I found the leftover plastic and covered 2 of our new chairs. Now each of the girls have a shiny new chair and they are so easy to clean up. No more nastiness!!!!!!!!

Morks

It is very common to see these two hanging out like this on the couch. I think Gumdrop has worn that outfit most of the week, but sometimes it's on inside out or backwards, or both.

These little genius kids coming to earth blow me away. She knows how to run the IPad. She knows where the games are, which game to choose, I think we are in deep do-do when she finds out the pass word and starts buying apps.
I just love it when my girls play and actually enjoy each other. Sweetpea wanted to show me how strong she was and Gumdrop was a good sport about it. Notice the undies, they are over diapers, BUT she's been going peeps in the toilet often. Pretty exciting.

who needs toys?

These two worms are hiding in my pajama pants. Once I take them off in the morning, if I don't put them away Gumdrop finds them a puts them on...with her head sticking out the bottom of the legs. This morning Sweetpea joined her in the other leg of the pants. Crazy girls. Notice Gumdrop trying to lick Sweetpea. At least she isn't trying to bite her...this time.

Here is a little sneek peek at Mason. All I can think of is "I got a brand new pair of roller-skates."
I traded his mom cut and color for pictures of this fantastic little guy. My hair looks fabulous and I think the pictures turned out pretty great, too. It's so nice that he is soooooooooooooo mild tempered.

Memorial Day

I LOVE Memorial Day. It always seems to kick off the summer right. After spending most of the morning working on the yard, we headed to the lake. It was our first time out this year and we loved every second of it!

I have a little budding artist at my house. This is just one of her sketches out of....one, two, three, four, five, six, oh too many to count...drawings around my house, on the walls, doors, cupboards, bed spread, clothes, her body. She is very talented, but oh how I wish she would only draw on PAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Suggestions?
